Business Profile

Tell BidClarity what your firm does, where you compete, and what makes you ready to win. The more complete your profile, the better your matches and win-probability estimates. Account settings, billing, and integrations live in the Settings tab.

Last updated:

1. Identity

Who you are. Used on cover sheets, proposals, and vendor registrations. Legal name is the entity that signs contracts.

Usually includes "LLC", "Inc.", or similar suffix.

Comma-separated terms that describe your specialties.

2. Markets & Geography

Where you bid and where you deliver. Regions + countries drive which government procurement portals BidClarity scans for you.

Pick the regions you bid in. Each region opens its countries.

Free-form tags for opportunities beyond the standard regions.

Where you can physically (or remotely) perform work.

Where your account data is stored. Some procurement programs require in-region storage.

3. Industry Codes

Standard classification codes governments use to categorize work. BidClarity matches your codes against opportunity codes to surface opportunities you can compete on.

Pick the codes that describe what your firm does. Most subscribers list 3-8.

Past industry codes you no longer pursue. Kept for historical reporting.

Pre-competed government contracts you hold.

4. Capability

What your team can do. Capability text is what the AI scoring engine reads alongside your codes — clear, plain language beats buzzwords.

2-5 sentences works best. Use the ✨ Polish button below to rewrite for clarity.

Specific skills your team brings. Each entry becomes one searchable chip.

Free-form JSON. Capture preferences the AI should consider beyond hard requirements.

5. Certifications & Clearance

Set-aside certifications (e.g. 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB) and security clearance level. Used to filter set-aside opportunities you're eligible for.

SBA, GSA, and agency-recognized set-aside designations.

Highest cleared individual on staff.

PTAC advisors can co-view your profile when assisting with proposals.

6. Bonding & Insurance

Bonding capacity and insurance coverage. Required for many construction and large service contracts; used to gate opportunity eligibility.

Free-form JSON. Key per coverage type, value in USD.

7. Past Performance

Contracts you've delivered. Each record strengthens your proposal narrative and improves win-probability scoring.

Free-form JSON array of reference objects.

Past Performance Records

8. Vendor IDs (Regional)

Vendor registration numbers for the 9 international procurement programs BidClarity tracks. Adding these lets BidClarity pull your past awards directly from each authority. US federal UEI and CAGE, Canadian BN, and other verified identifiers are managed in Settings → Business identifiers.

9. Financials Summary

High-level financial profile. Yearly financial records (revenue, EBITDA, audit status) are listed read-only below — managed via the /subscriber/financials API (a dedicated UI is coming in a future update).

Free-form JSON. Key per jurisdiction, value is your registration number.

Yearly financial records (read-only)

To add or edit yearly records, use the /subscriber/financials API directly. A dedicated editing surface is on the roadmap.

10. Preferences

Behavior tuning. Cadence + digest time control when BidClarity emails you about new matches; the rest tune your match scoring profile.

Local time when you'd like to receive the match digest.

Standard IANA timezone identifier (e.g. America/Los_Angeles, America/Chicago).

Business Identifiers (verified IDs)

Cross-checked vendor IDs across 6 jurisdictions (US federal UEI, Canadian BN, UK Companies House, EU VAT, AusTender ABN, World Bank). Verified IDs are managed in Settings → Business identifiers; this view is read-only for convenience.

Settings

Account, plan, billing, notifications, match preferences, and business identifiers — all in one place.

Notifications

Control how BidClarity reaches you about your pursuits. CAN-SPAM unsubscribes for digests or partner emails live in each email's unsubscribe footer — this panel handles preferences for your own pursuit activity.

Deadline reminders

Get a reminder email 7, 14, and 30 days after an opportunity's bid deadline passes — but only if you haven't logged an outcome yet. Turn this off if you'd rather check your pursuits on your own schedule. Reminders about payment issues or account access will still reach you.

Match preferences

Describe what your business does in your own words. BidClarity's match engine uses this alongside your structured profile (NAICS codes, certifications, target markets) to rank opportunities by how well they fit you.

Tell us what your business does, who your ideal customers are, and what kind of contracts work best for you. Include details like your industry, typical project size, and any agencies you've worked with before. More detail helps us find better matches — but a clear paragraph beats a long list.

Business identifiers

Different governments require different registration numbers. Adding the right identifier for each market you bid in lets BidClarity pull your public vendor history (past awards, certifications, performance ratings) directly from the government source and factor it into your win-probability estimate. Identifiers are read-only once verified; we never share them with other subscribers.

Integrations

Notification preferences

Choose how often BidClarity emails you about new matches and which other emails you want to receive. Account-critical emails (sign-in, password reset, payment receipts) always come through.

A daily digest at a fixed hour usually feels lighter than instant emails. "Off" stops match emails entirely — you'll still see matches when you sign in to the portal.

Quiet hours (UTC)

Optional. We won't send match digest emails during this UTC window. Set both fields together — start hour and end hour, each 0–23. Leave both blank for no quiet hours. Wrap-around windows like 22 → 7 are supported.

Engagement digest emails

Activity tips and milestones based on how you're using BidClarity. Helpful for spotting patterns; turn off if you'd rather work without nudges.

Partner emails

Updates from BidClarity's verified financing, bonding, insurance, and certification partners. Off-by-default if you haven't asked us to connect you with one.

Funding Sources

Every opportunity BidClarity surfaces is backed by a specific funding source — US federal, Canadian, multilateral, and national budget allocations worldwide. Knowing where the money comes from tells you how the contract is structured, which rules apply, and how competitive the field will be.

Check funding source for a specific opportunity

BidClarity fetches the funding breakdown — donor, tranche, procurement rules — for any opportunity in your matches or pipeline. Open any match card and tap View Detail to see the full funding profile.

Why funding source matters for your bid

Each funding source has its own procurement rules, eligibility requirements, and preferred supplier lists. A contract funded by AfDB follows AfDB procurement guidelines, not the host government's rules. A World Bank-funded project requires compliance with the Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers. IDA concessional grants open opportunities in markets where standard commercial competition is limited. BidClarity surfaces the funding source on every opportunity so you know which rule set applies before you invest time in a proposal.

Before the Contract is Advertised (Pre-RFP Monitor)

Get ahead of the competition before the formal solicitation drops.

Get notified about contracts before they're officially advertised — giving you weeks to prepare a winning strategy while competitors are still waiting for the RFP (Request for Proposals). Most government contracts are signalled weeks or months in advance through Sources Sought notices (early market research) and budget planning documents.

Teaming Partners

Find partners for contracts that need capabilities you don't have alone.

Find a partner company to bid jointly on contracts that require capabilities you don't have alone. Teaming is common on larger government contracts where a single company can't cover all requirements. BidClarity helps you identify potential partners, structure the arrangement, and document it properly.

Past Performance

Your track record is one of the most powerful bid factors. Agencies call this past performance — CPARS ratings in the US, supplier performance records elsewhere.

Record your previous contracts here. Strong past performance is one of the biggest evaluation factors in government procurement — agencies want evidence you've delivered similar work before. Past performance ratings (CPARS) from completed contracts are referenced in nearly every proposal evaluation. Contracts you close in Fulfillment auto-draft their past performance narrative here. Build your record so BidClarity can reference it across your bids.

Requirement Checklist (Compliance Matrix)

Never miss a proposal requirement again.

Upload an RFP and BidClarity extracts every requirement into a checklist — so nothing gets missed. Add your draft to score it against each requirement (met / partial / unmet) with a specific fix for every gap. Missing a requirement is one of the most common reasons proposals are disqualified before evaluation.

Each check uses one compliance credit. PDF only, up to 25 MB.

Compliance Matrix — Single RFP $79 one-time

Generate a full requirement checklist for one RFP. BidClarity parses every shalled, may, and must in the solicitation and maps each to the correct proposal section — so nothing gets missed before submission.

Compliance Matrix — Bundle (5 RFPs) $129 one-time

Five compliance matrix runs for $129 — use across any mix of active bids, valid until used. Best value if you're responding to multiple solicitations or running proposal reviews in parallel. Saves $266 vs five single-use purchases.

Proposal Review

Pink Team strategy review and Red Team compliance review of your draft — before you submit.

Upload your proposal draft and get two expert reviews: Pink Team finds strategic gaps and differentiation opportunities; Red Team scores it against the requirements like an evaluator would, with a specific fix for every gap. Run them on any draft, as many times as you need.

Intelligence plan feature. PDF only, up to 25 MB.

Certification Calendar

Stay registered. A lapsed certification can disqualify you automatically.

Track when your registrations and certifications expire — including your registration in the US federal contract registration system (SAM.gov), your US federal supplier ID (CAGE code), small business certifications, and industry licences. A lapsed registration can automatically disqualify you from receiving a contract award, even if your proposal wins on merit. Covers US federal (SAM.gov, CAGE code), Canadian (ProServices, CanadaBuys vendor registration), EU (DUNS/EORI), and international procurement registrations (UN vendor registration, World Bank vendor profile, AfDB supplier registration). Add any certification to track its expiry.
